the mountain in a nutshell.
This beautiful skiers-only resort oozes boujeeness. From its upscale lodges to its perfectly groomed trails Deer Valley caters to those with a refined taste. Those who aren’t just in gorgeous Utah for the snow but are here for a taste of the finer things. Nestled just south of Park City proper the drive up to Deer Valley passes through gated yards leading to gorgeous houses of those lucky enough to own a slice of heaven. While this isn’t a private members resort, lift tickets are on the pricier side. So if you’ve got that Ikon pass with a couple Deer Valley days, definitely take advantage.
Beautifully rolling blue runs are perfect for the intermediate skiers in your group and there are definitely some more challenging areas if you’re feeling adventurous. They may not get quite as much snow as the mountains on the western Wasatch front, but it is easy to find powder stashes here as the clientele tends to stay within bounds. There are some rules you need to follow here though. Wearing a jersey or have a snowboard? Take a hike! Deer Valley is for those with a more discerning palette and an appreciation of the finer things in life.
Deer Valley is also one of the best spots to catch a glimpse of a microwave Jerry so keep your eyes peeled…
