the mountain in a nutshell.

Keystone is what we like to call a decent 'all-rounder'. It's got an overall family friendly vibe across its large 3,148 acres of terrain but also has enough intermediate terrain to satisfy skiers looking for more adventure. While there may be no truly extreme terrain to be found, there is some fantastic cat skiing to be found in several alpine bowls.

But perhaps Keystone's biggest claim to fame is its night skiing. That's right, sometimes moderate terrain has its benefits and in this case it is some of the best resort skiing you can do at night in the US. In fact for a time in the mid 2000s, Keystone used to do something called "36 Hours of Keystone" where, you guessed it, the resort would actually stay open for 36 whole hours and dare skiers to ride the duration. The wild and raucous tradition unfortunately only lasted 4 seasons and is now but a distant memory. But hey, we think it might be time to revisit the idea once again. Don't be scared Keystone, we promise to tone it down if you try it again!
