the mountain in a nutshell.

Simply put, Kicking Horse mountain doesn't care about your feelings. It's steep, it's rugged, and not for the faint of heart. With only a single peak to base green run, the rest of the 2,800 skiable acres are filled with more than 85 chutes, five powdery bowls, and enough double black diamonds to satisfy the craziest of adrenaline junkies. What else would you expect from a resort that boasts North America's fourth highest vertical drop of 1,260 metres (4,133 ft). It is no surprise then that Kicking Horse is featured prominently as a challenging stop in the Freeride World Tour, where athletes from around the world drop into its famous Ozone face.

Tucked away near the Eastern British Columbia town of Golden, Kicking Horse can be a difficult mountain to get to. But it is an essential stop on Canada's famous powder highway, and an essential piece to the little big mountainsCanadian Ski Resort collection.
