Ah Idaho, the place that people who have never been here think of as the spot where potatoes come from, and in our opinion the most underrated state in the USA. Nestled in the Sawtooth mountains is Sun Valley ski resort. Sun Valley is the first ski resort in the world (and thus we assume the galaxy, unless there’s aliens absolutely shredding pow near Alpha Centauri… oh man I hope that’s true) with a chairlift, adapting a system used to haul bananas off boats in Panama in 1936. With 250 days of sun every year, masquerading as a banana to get beautiful sunny Idaho turns is something many avid skiers do every winter. Sun Valley is a crucible of athletics and creativity, housing many Olympians through the winter and holding claim to such inventions as the dual layer anti-fog lens and Powder Magazine. So if you think Idaho is just a place that created a variety of well known potatoes please plan your next trip here and see that while the potatoes are excellent, the mountains are even better.
